In particular, our experts will provide practical assistance for acceding countries based on hands-on experience of our team. Our experts give recommendations with respect to commitments which could be taken by the acceding country based on the analysis of the national legislation.
Analysis of national legislation on compliance with international obligations, commitments and practices:
CITLP will provide draft amendments for the existing laws and regulations or develop new legislation as well as recommendation/action plan on implementation, including adaptation of stakeholders for the new legal framework.
Consulting on trade policy formulation:
Based on analysis of the existing economic situation, CITPL will formulate priorities for the future trade policies, develop the action plan of measures and core functions of the authorities concerned;
Consulting businesses on formulating their requests on trade-related measures to address their concerns in the domestic and external markets:
CITLP will consult producers of goods, service providers and exporters how to change trade policies of the Government in order to accommodate their interests, on the one hand, and consumers, on the other
Training on all aspects of the WTO law and assistance in WTO dispute settlement issues:
The training programs are aimed to help beneficiaries build their human and institutional capacities so that they can participate in the multilateral trading system more effectively. Upon request, the Center will provide trainings for governmental authorities and non-governmental stakeholders (businesses and academia) to raise awareness on trade policy and WTO law and promote the development of partnerships between government and businesses.
